Open Channel Flow Monitoring
APG has two product offerings for open channel flow application: the LPU-2428 loop powered ultrasonic sensor can calculate and totalize open channel flow through a flume or weir, and because it’s a loop powered device with low current requirements, the LPU-2428 is a good choice for applications in remote areas relaying on solar and/or battery power. The DCR-1004 ultrasonic sensor controller provides a 4-20 mA or 0-5 V signal proportional to flow through a flume or weir. In addition, the DCR has four relying outputs that can be programmed to control pumps or valves and other application processes. |

Liquid Level Measurement and Control, Liquid Level Sensors
The KA series float switches can provide up to four switching levels within a single, simple to install float with no external moving parts to gum up or corrode. The MP series magnetostrictive level sensors provide 0.1-inch resolution with lengths available up to 20 feet, and you get to choose the process mounting. The PT-500 submersible pressure transducer is simple to install and provides continuous depth measurement. With its hazardous location approvals and removable sediment cage option, the PT-500 can handle a wide range of applications. If you’d rather go with a non-contact method, take a look at our ultrasonic sensors, such as the IRU-2400 series with both monitoring and control capabilities, or the easy to use loop-powered LPU-2127 with its on board keypad and display. |

Process Measurement, Ultrasonic Sensors APG offers a variety of ultrasonic sensors to fit process measurement applications. The IRU series general-purpose sensors are easy to install and offer a variety of analog outputs including 4-20 mA, 0-2.5 V or 0-5 V. With adjustable sensitivity settings, filtering options, and response time, the IRU series can adapt to almost any process measurement application. |

Drum & Tank Level Switches and Monitoring
APG offers a broad range of products for small tank and drum level applications. If you are simply looking for a few switch points for valve, pump or alarm control, take a look at our float switches, such as the FLR series, which are custom configured to meet both your switching and process mounting needs. If it is continuous level monitoring you are after, our new MP series liquid level sensors use magnetostrictive technology to provide precise level monitoring at a resolution of about 1/10th of an inch. Rather use something none-contact? Our IRU-5400 series ultrasonic sensors will give you an analog signal for continuous monitoring while providing 2 NPN transistor switches (current sinking) for process control. Mate the MP or IRU with the RST-5001 4-20 mA input module and you can access your level information from any internet connection. It will even convert your readings from level to volume, log the readings on a secure server, and send out multiple text message and email alerts when critical levels are reached. |

Presence or Absence Detection
There are many types of presence or absence detection applications, and with APG’s broad range of ultrasonic sensor configurations, chances are we have a sensor to fit your application needs. The IRU-2000 series comes in a surface mount housing for easy installation and can provide a variety of output options, such as solid state relays, NPN transistor switches, analog signals, and rs-485 communication. The IRU-9400 series uses highly sensitive electrostatic transducers to increase sensor performance on difficult to detect targets, such as soft or highly uneven surfaces. |

Line Pressure Monitoring
If you have a line pressure application, chances are APG has a solution. The PG-7 digital pressure gauge is suitable for outdoor use and offers selectable units of measure, an analog output signal, and two programmable solid-state relays for alarms or process controls. Among our PT series pressure transducers, the PT-400 carries hazardous area approvals and provides either a 4-20 mA, 0-5 V or 0-10 V analog output signal. For the oil and gas markets, we offer the HU series hammer union pressure transducers. The HU has hazardous area approvals, comes with either a 4-20mA or 0-5 V analog signal and is available in either a 1502 or 2202 fitting type. |

Vessle Pressure Monitoring APG's pressure sensing products come in a variety of process mounting options. Whether you're looking for a digital pressure gauge, such as the PG7 which can be mounted outdoors, or a pressure transducer, such as the PT-400 which can carries hazardous location approvals, the APG pressure product line is sure to meet your application needs. |

Large Tank Level
APG offers several solutions for large tank applications. The DCR series controllers, when coupled with the DST-3431 ultrasonic sensor, can measure tanks up to 50 feet in height while providing level or volume readings, an analog output, and four relays for pump and alarm control. The 50-foot range DCU-1104 is a stand-alone ultrasonic sensor that provides a 4-20 mA output and two programmable solid-state relays for process controls. The IRU-3400 series, also a 50-foot range sensor, has a 4-20 mA and two programmable NPN transistor switches for process controls or alarms. When heavy chemical vapors, surface foam, hazardous location requirements, or simply personal preference prohibit the use of ultrasonic sensors, the PT-500 submersible pressure transducer offers an excellent alternative for large tank level applications. This easy to install loop powered 4-20 mA liquid depth sensor can handle the largest tanks and carries hazardous location approvals to fit almost any application. Join any of the above solutions with the RST-5001 network/web enabled 4-20 mA controller and you can access your tank level information from any internet connection. The RST can even send out email and/or text message alerts to a manager or vendors whenever user defined critical levels are reached. |
