| Vehicle Detection at a Drive-Up Window or Coin Box |
An ultrasonic sensor is a reliable non-contact method for vehicle detection. The IRU-2000 sensor continues to function even when exposed to harsh weather. At coin boxes and drive-up windows, photo-eyes can become dirty and are subject to tampering.
The flat face of the transducer on the IRU-2000 is less susceptible to tampering. This sensor is more cost effective than installing labor intensive ground loops and detects vehicles of all colors and size. The sensor has an adjustable trip distance to accommodate most applications. For best performance, the sensor must be aligned at a right angle to the vehicle and be approximately 24 inches above the ground. |
| The IRU-2000 Series is also available in a variety of different housings to fit your application needs. |
