API 18.2 Custody Transfer Magnetostrictive Probes

LOGAN, UT – Automation Products Group, Inc. (APG) introduces the new MPX Series API 18.2 Custody Transfer Approved Magnetostrictive Level Probes.

APG's new MPX-R and MPX-T API 18.2 Custody Transfer Approved Magnetostrictive Level ProbesDesigned to meet the exacting standards for crude oil storage and transfer from lease tanks, MPX Series API 18.2 probes are built on robust 1”-diameter stems of either 316L stainless steel or Titanium 2, and use floats made to resist the buildup and fouling that come with operating in crude oil, all so you can trust the ±1 mm accuracy of the probe output. MPX Series API 18.2 probes also provide the averaged reading of submerged digital temperature sensors, each with ±0.25° C accuracy, so your system doesn’t have to do the math. With the MPX Series API 18.2, all interested parties get an accurate reading of the level and temperature of the crude oil in a lease storage tank.

Features of the Series MPX API 18.2 include:

  • 1”∅ 316L Stainless Steel stem, 10 - 31.5 feet (3.05 - 9.60 m) long
  • 1”∅ Titanium 2 stem, 10 - 25 feet (3.05 – 7.62 m) long
  • Operating Temperature Range: -40° - 85° C (-40° - 185° F)
  • Reverse polarity protection
  • Surge protection per IEC 61000-4-5
  • Modbus Output
  • cCSAus: Class I, Division 1 & 2, Groups C & D T4 (Ta 85° C)
