Narrator: Hi, and welcome to APGTV. I’m Shaw Merrill, and today we’re going to show you how to program the LPU-2127 ultrasonic level sensor. All the programming for the LPU-2127 is done right here, through the display.

The LPU-2127 is programmed using modes similar to a digital wristwatch. To access the display and programming buttons, simply loosen the screw on the sensor lid.

The LPU has four programming buttons:

  • Mode Up
  • Mode Down
  • Value Up
  • and Value Down

The mode up and down buttons allow you to select the mode, while the value up and down buttons allow you to view and change the settings. To show you how these buttons work, let’s set the 4mA setting and the 20mA setting.

Selecting Units of Measure

Step 1: First you need to select the units of measure. To select this, press the mode buttons until you see mode 1 displayed.

Step 2: To select the units of measure, press the value buttons.

The LPU offers three different settings for units of measure:

  • 0 for feet
  • 1 for inches
  • and 2 for millimeters

Step 3: Once you select the units of measure, you want to press a mode button to save your changes.

Selecting the 4mA Setting

Step 1: To set or change the 4mA setting, press a mode button until you see mode 2 displayed.

Step 2: Next press the value buttons to change the setting.

Step 3: To save the setting, press a mode button.

Selecting the 20mA Setting

Step 1: Now to change the 20mA setting, press a mode button until you see mode 3.

Step 2: Now press the value buttons to change the setting.

Step 3: And press a mode button to save that setting.

Remember once you press the mode button, the display will now show the distance measurement. A full listing of all the modes can be found in the LPU manual.
